GOD SPEAKS; GOD HEARS

Translated from spanish from the book "Does God still Live?" by Jose Pedro Manglano.

A LITTLE BEYOND:

We ask for a relative to be cured of a particular illness; we do well in asking and praying. But to pray for it means something like saying: I would like for this person to be cured, that he may be cured if it is possible. It seems like the best thing for me; but let Your will be done, God, because You know what is best for each one of us. Let my relative and family know to love Your will, so that all the good that can come through this illness may come to pass. May we know how to discover your loving plan in whatever may happen, may we all know how to listen to what you want to tell each and every one of us with this illness.

PRAYER TO CONTEMPLATE:

To speak to God, we must have faith that he listens with love:

"Lord, I believe: I wish to believe in You.
Lord, let my faith be full and unreserved, and let it penetrate my thought, my way of judging Divine things and human things.
Lord, let my faith be joyful and give peace and gladness to my spirit, and dispose it for prayer with God and coversation with men, so that the inner bliss of its fortunate possession may shine forth in sacred conversation.
Lord, let my faith be humble and not presume to be based on the experience of my thought and of my feeling; but let it surrender ot the testimony of Your spirit. Amen"
