A LITTLE BEYOND:
Most of what can be said about God�s omnipotent power over the world and the suffering of humans in it can be altered continuously in abstract ways that could only be created in our imagination. We may end up asking ourselves why God can�t create an infinitely and absolutely utopian world of perfection, where pain still does not exists because reality is simply a completely different way (with increasingly complicated scenarios, such as some reality where time is not constant and things can be done over and over). Couldn�t God create this? Well, yes he could, but we realize that 1) this is a very serious �what if� scenario, which would be extremely complicated to explain and probably has little point in explaining, since we could continue to alter our picture of this perfect world as we go along; and 2) cases like this STILL wouldn�t be perfect somehow, no matter what we elaborate in our minds, simply because we are not capable of taking into account everything in reality nor can our mind �grasp� perfection in this way (which is really what we are doing when we try to imagine a purely perfect world). In the end, it comes down to faith. Just the same way that God has many reasons for the existence of things in our reality, there may be infinitely many reasons why our world is simply the way it is and not some other, perfect (or less-perfect) way. There are reasons we cannot imagine nor explain. Accepting these things about the world that can�t be fully grasped, is part of our faith in God.

PRAYER TO CONTEMPLATE:
God loves us, and nothing delights Him more than for us to spend time with Him. May we learn to spend time apart with Him, our loving Father, entering into His presence. :
